Our stay was great. The dockmaster when we arrived was excellent, but the real quality came out when one of our engiens wouldn't start. He was extra-patient with us, and repeatedly said "Don't worry, take your time, if you can't get it started we'll move you to the end of the fuel dock and you can stay there. Eventually we did get it started and got to our slip.
We hadn't stayed at Southport Marina (now Morningstar) since the devastation by the storm in ?2022. The docks were great. The dog park is a great addition. If I had to find any fault, the men's shower room could use some spiffing up (my wife said the women's was "pristine" however).
